We are two Flemish men, Luc Luyckx and Marc Van Antwerpen, who are passionate about Cahors wine. In 2000, we took over Château Fontaynes and renamed it Château Famaey.

Immediately after, we began to invest in everything related to the quality of the terroir (land) and the wine. The soil is worked without the use of chemical products in order to obtain a product that is as natural as possible.

To achieve wine of an exceptional quality we employed Yves Lafon as maitre de chai (oenologist). With his 30 years of experience, he is one of the best in the Cahors region.
